Seeds of Faith

'About 4.6 billion years ago, a huge cloud of dust and hydrogen gas floating at the edges of the galaxy began to pull together to form a globe.  The particles packed more and more tightly together and became hotter and hotter.  Finally the enormous heat in the center of the globe set off a chain of nuclear explosions, and the sun began to shine.'

I was reading from Our Solar System by Seymour Simon to my young children.

"What is wrong with this statement?" I asked my intent listeners.

"Something just doesn't come from nothing," replied my six year old.

"Exactly.  What is needed for something like the sun to even exist?" I questioned them further.

"A hand," replied my six year old.

Ah Lord God!  Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm!  Nothing is too difficult for You!  Jeremiah 32:17
